This summer has been the most amazing summer of my whole entire life! It started in June, I went up to Wyoming with my brothers Beau and Braxton. I did the children's show at the college and was Mrs. Meers in Millie. I met some of the best people ever I could name all of them and how they changed my life, but you'd be here all day just reading. So I'll just name a few. First Sharielle! She was Millie and is brilliant! I stayed with her and her family while I was there and it was awesome a whole house of leads. Second would be Zachary! I met him at auditions and we've been joined at the hip since. He was my Ching Ho, and I loved it! Third would be Karissa! She is the best, she played Mrs. Flannery. AKA my partner in crime... not really but I can hope. It was so fun putting together a show in two weeks and I can't believe we pulled off everything from costumes to accents... well sorta.
Once the show was over and we were all really good friends I went home for two weeks and played with my friends back at home, I was doing something every day! My cousin Cai was here from Texas so she was hanging out with me and my friends and it was super fun. We went running and hiking and squished pennies. It was a very eventful two weeks... Then I was off to GUATEMALA!
Guatemala was the best experience of my life, I went with a medical group that met at the hospital during the school year. We were staying in Antigua, which was a suburb just outside Guatemala City. We worked with a group called Safe Passage AKA Camino Seguro. They helped kids get out of the dump and into school and also helped the parents get their GED's. We were in the class rooms teaching the kids dental and hand hygiene. It was so fun to be with the kids, even if we couldn't understand them. We were there for 10 says but really only 8 because of the traveling. It was too short, I wish I could spend years there. That trip changed me, I want to now just clear out my room and send it all over to them. My second favorite part of the trip was going to the guateria "nursery" where the little kids were. There were these 2 kids, Randy and John Paul, that truly touched my heart. The one day I was there I felt like I could leave them. I wish I could tell you everything but, again, we'd be here all day.
When Guatemala was over I came home again just to go back to Wyoming, I can't get away from that place...love the people, not so much the place. After making 2 trips up to Wyoming I was off the Arizona for two weeks to spend some quality time with my dad. That was the most relaxing two weeks of my whole summer, we didn't do much but I didn't complain because I was with my dad just having fun. My schedule pretty much went like this, 6am- wake up to take dad to work, so I could have the car the rest of the day, 7am- get back and take a nap. 9am- usually had an appointment of some kind. The rest of the day I would swim or just relax depending on my mood, although I didn't want to swim much after the first day because I fell asleep and FRIED! The two weeks went by really fast and before I knew it I was back in Utah.
The rest of the summer consisted of 2 more trips up to Wyoming to spend the whole week with my best friend Zach for his birthday! He then came home with me just to spend time and shop! The best would be the thrift store shopping we found some of the best stuff ever! That was the weekend that my shoe total raised to 49, and Zach's cardigan total raised to 7. We were crazy and had fun just shopping and doing the random things that came up! It was probably the best weekend of my whole summer because I didn't have to pretend to be anyone, I just had to be myself.
Now school has started and had been great! starting to get busy already! I'll post soon!
